Doron Arel – The first Israeli mountain climber that concurred the Everest:
10:25 no where else to climb up to, 32 degrees Celsius below zero, mild wind and the world is laid at our feet. The peek itself is very small and narrow, like a bench. I am sitting at the edge, my legs dangling off each side, riding the worlds roof.” (Taken from Doron Arel’s book “Aliya Laregel”, chapter “an hour on the worlds roof”) And he adds: “ it is not enough to have will power, skills, patience and persistence on your way to that magnificent place where earth meets the sky, you need gear and equipment that you can depend on every step of the way. In “Maslul” you can undoubtedly find professional equipment that meets these harsh demands, equipment that will serve any adventurer loyally.

Tuzr Sheizaf- Traveling book writer and the founder of ”Harpatkaot” Israeli company for long distance journeys::
In his book ”Kshafim Bewnkaba” Tuzr Sheizaf wonders about the connection between the travel writer and the dream about exploring and travel, and he says: ”In our century when NY city gets closer to Tel-Aviv up to 10 hours flight, what there is actually left for the professional traveler to do in the moment every man can go as far as he goes and do the same? To establish a dream? Maybe the answer is in the dreamer and not in the dream. In the ability of the dreamer to make the dream come to life and afterwards to make the dream in to a word, in to a picture. To dream about a dream in such way that also one how never traveled could sense the warm wind of the desert and the freezing of the fingers on frozen ice fields. More that the journey is important apparently important are the words how describes it as a memory. ”Maslul” is the place where you, the dreamer of the dream would be carried by the wind over her wings.”

In the early 90’s couple of friends of mine drag me to a field trip in southern Israel. ”The land of wonders” they called it, ”you won’t regret it”, ”where do we sleep?” I asked, ”out side under the sky” they said, ”bring a sleeping bag and worm cloth” (the trip was set to the middle of the winter). Dudi was in charge of the food, and we found out to our surprise that he is a world-class chef. Dudi also introduce me with his friend Doron from ”Maslul”. At the moment I stepped in to the store I felt the vacation started already, a cup of coffee, world music, a trip atmosphere in the middle of Tel-Aviv. I geared up properly and since that day I have become a desert lover. In ”Masul” there are skilled people witch knows how to fit the perfect gear just for you. They all look like they just came back or they just on the way to extreme trek in Israel, India or South America. I also found out that the thermal clothing helps me in the daily life and especially in cold days when I have a concert outside.

To Doron and Ofer, thank you for your lovely place.

see you in "Maslul"
